I have a busy life and lately, I’ve been feeling so frustrated, so disappointed with myself.
When was the last time that I wrote a blog post? It was on the 31st of December, last year. That was 6 months ago. Is there a blog that can survive 6 months of inactivity? I doubt.
Six months is just too long. I had plans for this blog. I still do but keeping those plans in line with the timeframe that I had in mind was the issue.
I’m too perfectionist and that’s a problem. I have these long blog posts planned, with images, headlines and great keywords but I don’t have enough time to write them so I just don’t publish anything at all and that’s bad, really bad.
It’s probably better to just write what come to my mind, like a journal. In case you haven’t noticed, that’s what I’m trying to do write now.
Do you have a journal?
I do, and I actually write on it quite often.
I have a file on Google Docs called “David’s Reflective Log” where I write about almost everything I do.
It’s not just a journal.
On my reflective log, I also keep track of my finances, and my do to lists, plans, goals, books that I’ve read and that I want to read in the future. I even write my study notes on it so that I have everything in one place and accessible from both my laptop and my phone.
You should try even if you have a busy life like mine.
What I’ve Been Up To
In the last six months I:
- Got promoted to Crew Trainer and Area Leader at McDonald’s.
- Went on holiday to Switzerland, to France and Italy.
- Went to a few parties.
- Got closer to my dad.
- Redecorated my garden, which is an ongoing project.
- Celebrated my 30th birthday.
- Finished the module B100 at the Open University, which is a 60 credit module and that means over 600 hours of study.
- Developed a local directory website (www.bostonwish.co.uk).
Busy Life in Switzerland, France & Italy
I’m writing this at 1:00 am so before I go to bed, I’d like to share some of the pics I took while on holiday last month.
I went to Switzerland to visit my dad but because he lives close to the border of France and Italy I ended up going to three countries instead of just one. He lived there for the past 14 years but unfortunately, I never had the chance to visit him. Now that I finally did, I have no doubt I will come back.
It was a truly amazing holiday.
With this busy life, I don’t know when I’ll write my next blog post, so the best is to follow me on Instagram so that you always know what I am doing.
